It was the first Indian Tyre Company in technical collaboration with Continental AG.</p> <p>2001:&nbsp;Modi Rubber Limited was closed in August.</p> <p>2009:&nbsp;Modi Tyres Company Private Limited restarted production in June.</p> <p>2011:&nbsp;Continental AG acquired Modi Tyres Company Private Limited and in July, Continental India Limited was formed.</p> <p>2012:&nbsp;First Radial PLT green tyre built at Modipuram on 14th December and cured on December, 31st.</p> <p>2013:&nbsp;First TBR green tyre built on February 1st at Modipuram and cured on February, 19th.</p> <p>2014:&nbsp;Continental starts production and commercial distribution of Radial Tyres for commercial vehicles (TBR) as well as premium passenger car tyres (PLT) in India. Continental has established a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for TBR &amp; PLT tyres at its existing tyre plant at Modipuram with an initial capacity of 800,000 tyres p.a. for PLT and 220,000 tyres p.a. for TBR with further expansion potential.</p> <p>.</p>
